Christian Ethos
DCHS is a Christian founded institution and it continues to apply Christian values as a guide to the way it runs its day to day affairs. It is in this respect, therefore, that Christian ethos has to be set aside as a strategy unto itself, in doing this DCHS hopes to build those Christians who it has been entrusted with to clearly appreciate and wholly devote to the Christian lifestyle as they grow their faith. The school also desires to enable its community of Christians to live a life that truly reflects the character of Jesus Christ so as to draw the rest of the non-Christian members to fully committing to the same cause. With the above strategy in effect DCHS hopes to more accurately derive and define its ideals, philosophies, strategies and the live from a purely Christian perspective showcasing itself as a typical example of a Christian run institution.
Goal
To build a community of highly committed and dedicated Christians who diligently continue to apply their growing knowledge of the Word of God in their day to day living as they strive towards having a character of Jesus Christ.
Objectives
To increase the measure of the character of Jesus Christ in the lives of staff and students.
To engage an increasing number of student and staff in active Christian ministry providing an optimum number of opportunities for them to exercise their spiritual gifts.
To increasingly use DCHS as an instrument that generally impacts the world for Jesus Christ.
To begin a church and construct church premises that actively engages the surrounding community and provides services for them by and of 2016.
To increase the use of biblical Christian values in guiding the affairs of the day to day running of the school beginning 2015.
